The History of Diamonds:

1. The History of Diamonds:

One billion years ago, diamonds were produced in the top layer of the Earth's core 120 to 200 km below the Earth's surface. Then, diamonds arrived on the surface of the Earth with the help of volcanic eruptions. However, now we must mine for diamonds and bring them to the surface of the Earth ourselves, it is almost unlikely that diamonds will appear themselves.

During the ancient Greek times,it was discovered that diamonds were very hard. At that time, there weren't any tools for cutting and grinding diamonds, so Spartan warriors tied rough diamonds to their knife handles to protect themselves and to attack enemies. Hence, diamonds also became a lucky charm. In 69 BC, Queen Cleopatra of Egypt was deeply in love with her lover Mark Anthony, who gave her a diamond. Since then, diamonds have represented love.

Diamonds are composed of carbon atoms (C), which is identical to that of humans. The difference is that diamonds are formed from ten million years of exposure to high temperature and high pressure (temperatures from 900 to 1300 degrees, and pressure of 4500 to 6000), making diamonds the hardest substance in the world, and is also the gemstone with the best stability. This can also be used to explain the fact that diamonds do not react easily with strong acid, strong alkali or strong light, and therefore it is unlikely for its composition to change. A successful person needs to undergo many difficult and high pressure trials to become an extraordinary person with tough and firm will.

In "Exodus" of the Old Testament, priests were known to have worn diamonds among the 12 gemstones. Also, the "Diamond" of the Buddhism Diamond Sutra represents the will of a person; focused and unshakable, all that is thought and desired can be accomplished, transforming success in career to love to help others and walk towards the realm of Buddhism.
Similarly, when a man gives a woman a diamond,

it represents the virtue of love and its unbreakable bond. If you wish to grow old with her ,"to death do us part", imagine a diamond shining on her hand, which is tightly clasped to your hand. This is the realm of love of diamonds, symbolizing brightness, unbreakable virtue and never changing.
