The dazzling brilliance of diamonds comes from the retraction of light. Diamonds are hydrophobic, which makes them easily contaminated by grease, even from a gentle touch. Even the dust floating in the air stains diamonds, leaving them looking dirty and lackluster. However, by simply using the right tools and following the right steps every day, your diamonds will be kept in their shiny and beautiful state. Please refer to the below steps for taking care of your precious diamonds.

1.Scrub the surface Get a soft bristle toothbrush, wet it with some dishwashing detergent and gently scrub the surface and side of the diamond (please be careful not to scrub too hard or aggressively to prevent from causing scratches to the ring). The same cleansing method applies for rings embedded with diamonds.

2.Scrub the setting Scrub the crevices in the back and the side of the setting to remove stubborn grime and dirt build ups. For rings with a thick layer of dirt and grime built up from lack of cleaning or not cleaned for a long time, soak them in warm water for a while before cleaning them with dishwashing detergent. (Note: do not scrub too hard as it may scratch your ring)

3.Rinse with clean water Rinse well with water to ensure complete cleanness and to achieve a brilliant shine

4. Dry Use a paper towel to dry the water from the ring, then blow dry it with a hairdryer (cool or hot air) or wipe it with a wiping cloth. The ring must be completely dried to prevent water stains from appearing on the diamond.

1.Due to the hydrophobic nature of diamonds, body lotion, hair spray and perfume leaves marks on the surface of diamonds, which makes it difficult for light to refract and reduces its brilliance. Avoid from contact with oily substances and chemical goods.

2.As diamonds may scratch other jewelry, all diamond jewelry should be stored in jewelry boxes with dividers or separate compartments to prevent jewelry from coming into contact and rubbing against each other.

3.If diamond jewelry encounters collision with other objects, immediately check if there are any loose stone settings to prevent diamonds from falling off.
